This Privacy Policy explains what data Even8 collects, how we use it, and what your rights are. We take your privacy seriously — we only collect what we need to make the service work.

1. Who we are

Even8 is the data controller for information collected through the even8.app app and website. For any question about your data, contact us at support@even8.app.

2. What data we collect

Account data (name, email, encrypted password), profile data (gender, date of birth, phone — optional), profile photo, in-app activity (saved events, reviews, points, coupons won), and basic technical data (preferred language, stored via a cookie on the website).

3. How we use your data

To provide and improve the service (your account, personalized events, gamification), to send you notifications (e.g. password reset, admin notifications you've opted into), and for security (abuse prevention).

4. Data sharing

We don't sell your data to anyone. We only share it when strictly necessary: with our hosting provider (to keep the service running), and with partner businesses only the minimal information needed to validate a coupon (not your full profile).

5. Cookies

Our website (even8.app) uses a simple cookie to remember your preferred language. The mobile app stores your login token securely on your device (not as a web cookie).

6. Data retention

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, personal data is deleted within a reasonable period, except where we're legally required to retain it.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

Request a copy of your data
Correct inaccurate information (from your Profile)
Request deletion of your account and data
Object to certain processing (e.g. mass notifications)

8. Security

Passwords are stored encrypted (bcrypt), communication happens over HTTPS, and authentication is based on time-limited tokens (JWT).

9. Children

Even8 isn't intended for people under 13, and we don't knowingly collect data from children under this age.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced within the app.
